Based in Dubai, Masoomeh Hilal is the Founder and Creative Director of Masoomeh Hilal Design, a multidisciplinary interior design studio renowned for creating refined spaces that balance timeless elegance with contemporary living. Beginning her creative journey in Textile Design before expanding into Interior Design, she developed a design philosophy rooted in the relationship between material, texture, pattern, and color. Her work is defined by thoughtful simplicity, where every detail contributes to interiors that are both functional and enduring.
For her collaboration with Samovar, Masoomeh presents Retro Rhythm, a handcrafted carpet collection inspired by memories of vintage floor tiles, retro patterns, and the quiet rhythm of geometric forms that once filled familiar spaces. These nostalgic references are reimagined through softened geometry, gentle curves, KitKat-inspired linear details, and rich textures, creating designs that feel both timeless and contemporary.
A carefully composed palette of snow, sand, mushroom, espresso, mustard, and olive reflects the warmth and versatility of the collection, allowing each carpet to integrate effortlessly into a wide range of interiors. Drawing upon her textile design background, Masoomeh explores the harmony between color, texture, and pattern to create pieces that bring comfort, character, and subtle rhythm to everyday living.
